HomePoliticsThe Budding American Theocracy

I found a disturbing video on YouTube that should be seen by every thinking person in America, of any religious persuasion:

After you view this video, ask yourself: “Will this person govern in a way that will protect my right to worship the God of my choice?”

It doesn’t matter what Christian sect you belong to – watch this video. I would imagine that those who profess to be Buddhists, Muslims, Hindus, Jews or members of the hundreds of minority belief systems in this country would find this video to be particularly disturbing. The last time I checked, this country claimed to be a pluralist society.

Talk to Action, an interesting website, has a lot of information about the Christian Identity Movement and Palin’s possible links to those people.

The Southern Poverty Law Center also has a link to the Dominionist Movement that is very educational.

And there is a blogger on DailyKos who is a “survivor of a coercive dominionist group” who is doing her “best to educate people on dominionism”.

Many prominent Christians are aghast at the selection of Sarah Palin as John McCain’s Vice Presidential candidate.

It would behoove those who are concerned about the future of our country to pay close attention to this group of people. Gov. Palin’s nomination may well be the event that is necessary to motivate people to take action to take our country back from religious extremists.
