I wish George Mitchell all the best – it appears that he has his work cut out for him. There are lessons to be learned here for us, also … the perils of the unification of church and state. The one interesting fact that caught my attention is that within 10 years, Arabs in Israel will outnumber Israelis. Blacks outnumbered Whites in South Africa, too … but the Whites are no longer in control of the country, either. Is this the future of Israel? As Bob Simon says, the longevity of apartheid states is not long.
